To register and access the Government of Alberta (“GoA”) Digital Literacy Program, you are required to accept the Terms of Use below:

No warranties and limitation of liability

The Digital Literacy Program is provided by GoA "as is" without warranty of any kind, either express or implied. GoA does not warrant the accuracy, completeness, performance, security, availability or reliability of the Digital Literacy Program. No action may be brought by any person against GoA for any loss or damage of any kind caused by any reason or purpose whatsoever in relation to the use of the Digital Literacy Program.

Links to other websites

The Digital Literacy Program may contain links to third party websites. GoA provides these links solely for your convenience and does not take responsibility for the content or the privacy policies applicable to such third party websites, which privacy policies may differ from that of GoA. A link to a third party website is not, and does not imply, an endorsement or recommendation by GoA of any organization, products, services, or information contained within that linked third party website. GoA disclaims any liability with regard to linked third party websites.

Purpose of Digital Literacy Program

The Digital Literacy Program is provided for the purpose of increasing the digital literacy of Albertans and may not be used for any other purpose.

Discontinuance of Service

GoA may discontinue the Digital Literacy Program in whole or in part at any time without giving you notice. If you breach these Terms of Use, GoA may, in its sole discretion, take any steps that it determines are necessary including but not limited to cancellation of your Digital Literacy Program account.

Governing Law

These Terms of Use are governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws in force in Alberta, and you agree and submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Alberta.

Trademarks

All trademarks used and/or displayed on or within the Digital Literacy Program are registered or unregistered trademarks or official marks of the Government of Alberta. Trademarks and official marks may not be used without the express written permission of the Government of Alberta.

Copyright

Copyright in the Digital Literacy Program (and materials on or within it) are protected by the Copyright Act and are either owned or licensed by the Government of Alberta.

Non-commercial reproduction

Unless indicated otherwise, the Digital Literacy Program (and materials on it) may be copied and distributed for non-commercial use without charge or further permission from Communications and Public Engagement. We only ask that:

  • the materials not be modified,
  • users exercise due diligence in ensuring the accuracy of the materials,
  • the Government of Alberta be identified as the source of the materials, and
  • the reproduction is not represented as an official version of the materials reproduced, nor as having been made in affiliation with or with the endorsement of the Government of Alberta.
