Commonly Asked Terms and Conditions Questions

Confused about the RapidLMS Terms and Conditions?

Don't worry, it's quite thorough since it applies to everyone using the RapidLMS platform for training and learning resources. We've provided some answers to common questions below, but if you need more clarity, call us at 1-888-839-9239 or email digital.literacy@gov.ab.ca, and we'll be happy to help.

What is a RapidLMS account and how does it affect the Digital Literacy Program?

The Alberta Digital Literacy Program uses RapidLMS Service for hosting its courses. To access the program, you need to create a RapidLMS account. This account can be used in the future for other organizations using RapidLMS Service. You must be 13 years old to create an account.

Is identity verification necessary for the Digital Literacy Program?

No. We want the program to be accessible, so we only require an email or phone number to sign up, not identity verification.

Why are billing and transactions in the terms and conditions?

Don't worry, the Digital Literacy Program is entirely free, and we don't ask for billing or transaction information. While RapidLMS services may involve billing for other organizations, it's not the case for us. You will not need to provide payment information to use the Alberta Digital Literacy Program.

Is my information and data safe?

Yes. All data is stored in accordance with Government of Alberta policies. Alberta Digital Literacy Program is not shared with third-party vendors or applications through RapidLMS.
